An indoor place for kids to climb, slide, bounce, build, role play, dig, draw, paint, play music, take music lessons, take art classes, and develop
life- long social skills.
Learning is a big part of what we are doing. Doctors and educators agree that children
learn best through open ended play. Play is so important to optimal child development that it has been recognized by the United Nations High Commission for Human Rights as a right of every child. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, Play allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength. Play is important to healthy brain
development. It is through play that children at a very early age engage and interact in the world around them. Play allows children to create and explore a world they can master, conquering their fears while practicing adult roles, sometimes in conjunction with other children or adult caregivers. As they master their world, play helps children develop new competencies that lead to enhanced confidence and the resiliency they will need to face future challenges. Undirected play allows children to learn how to work in groups, to share, to negotiate, to resolve conflicts, and to learn self-advocacy skills. When play is allowed to be child driven, children practice decision-making skills, move at their own pace, discover their own areas of interest, and ultimately engage fully in the passions they wish to pursue.
Because we are an indoor playground our
equipment is never wet or hot, and our flooring
is always up to all safety fall height codes.
In fact we have no fall height greater than
32 inches (18 inches in The Toddler Zone)
because our play structure is completely
enclosed.
We also have soft
flooring in all of the play rooms. Plus,
by separating the age groups, the little
ones won’t get hurt by the bigger
kids.
Outdoor playgrounds
with mulch are rarely up to code for fall
height safety standards, and when is the
slide not too hot or too wet?

At Dinosaur Playground
we offer healthy snacks and a clean safe
environment where children can burn off
a lot of energy.
We offer physical,
as well as creative, and educational fun.
We have open play all day and you can drop in anytime so there is no rushing to make it on time or having to leave before the child is ready. We also offer classes for all ages and abilities, and playtime is always included for the child taking the class and siblings!
Please remember to wear socks!
"Autism and other special needs"
Our son has autism. Our daughter is a typically developing child. When we first opened Dinosaur Playground in 2006 we had no idea our son had autism. After his diagnosis we became aware of how much our playground helps children of all ages and abilities. Our son has grown up at Dinosaur Playground and we know it has really helped him with his difficulties, such as sensory integration dysfunction and his anti-social tendencies. It also gives him a safe and clean place to run and play without us having to worry about him breaking anything or people giving us weird looks for his behavior. At Dinosaur Playground a kid can just be a kid—whether they have special needs or not, we have something fun for all ages and abilities.
